What Automatic Evelyn offers:
Listed below are some of Automatic Evelyn's useful features:
MIXED OR UNISEX Your league can be all female, all male, mixed, or unisex in which both sexes fall under the same leader board
TENPIN, DUCKPIN, FIVEPIN, CANDLEPIN, AND WII BOWLING Evelyn is not just limited to tenpin bowling. Duckpins and Candlepins are readily available, and feature "spare" and "strike" capturing, as well as Canadian Fivepins, which features a different maximum score.
SCRATCH OR HANDICAP Whether your league uses handicap, or just free-fall, Automatic Evelyn can accommodate.
HANDICAP SYSTEMS: TEAM VS. TEAM OR INDIVIDUAL BASE, W/MATCH POINT AND/OR PETERSEN POINTS "Team vs. Team", with handicap assigned to the lower average team is one method, used in many small ball leagues. The Individual Base Average system is also present, in which each bowler in the league receives a handicap from a 'base' score. And the more competitive, 'add-on' Match Point and Petersen Points methods are also ready for inclusion.
PRE-MADE SCHEDULES Enjoy the convenience of as high as a 56-team 'ready made' schedule for your league. You can also modify schedule weeks individually.
POSITION ROUNDS You have the ability to indicate multiple position rounds, so there's no limitation in that regard.
SWITCH/TRANSFER LINEUPS With Automatic Evelyn, you can easily move players from one team to another, replace a player with a substitute, or switch a team's lineup.
DIVISIONS Divisions can be set up for leagues with a substantial number of teams. Please note that Automatic Evelyn only handles situations in which an equal and even number of teams is in each division, such as two 12-team divisions, three 10-team divisions, four 8-team divisions, etc.
SPLIT SEASONS Many leagues utilize Split Seasons to divide the league into segments. You can break your league up into quarters, thirds, halves, etc.
TRAVELING LEAGUES/SPORT CHALLENGE LEAGUES One of the newer trends in bowling today is the Sport Challenge league, which is conceptually similar to a 'Traveling League', in which all or part of the league will bowl on a different surface from week-to-week. With Automatic Evelyn, your bowlers will be able to chart their progress in each environment through its statistical analysis/graphical reports.
DESIGNING YOUR PRINTOUTS You have the option of determining just what Leader Categories you want to display, and what particular fields you'd like shown on your weekly printouts. You can also select your own print-style, provided it is within Automatic Evelyn's "11-font repertoire" of web-safe styles.
VACANTS, BLINDS, AND SUBS It's recommended that you include the ability to use Blind and Vacant scores. You can establish your own rules for these types of bowlers in the amount of penalty each title carries. You'll also be able to include substitutes in your database.
RE-PROCESS AND DISPLAYING WEEKS There may be a time when you need to go back and view or change the league's standings/statistics after a specific week during the year. You can do so without a hitch with Automatic Evelyn.
You'll also be asked for your league's name and your email address. The league name is for identification purposes, and your email is used for sending you a confirmation message, showing your username and password. You can't change your username and password once they are created. And you should keep this confirmation email, just in case you forget your username and/or password.
Automatic Evelyn will also ask you for your Country, State, and Bowling Center. (Your state/province is requested if your league is within the United States or Canada). This information will be displayed on the World Leagues home page, along with your league name to let visitors know where your league bowls.
After the input of your login credentials, Automatic Evelyn will route you to the appropriate league setup screens, until all pertinent information has been entered. Should you exit the league setup at any time, upon signing in again, "Evelyn" will return you to the beginning of the last screen you worked on, before you interrupted your session.
