MARYLAND SUBURBAN TRAVELING LEAGUE

MMSTL - Page Viewing with MIDIs

One of the novelties available to the viewers of the website involved providing visitors with the option of playing "Midi" music when viewing the different web pages on the MMSTL website. Myself, along with a sizable chunk of the league, grew up during the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, and there were a number of websites on the web in which music enthusiasts reproduced computer versions of popular, Top 40 hits from the British Invasion, Elvis, Motown, One Hit Wonders, and other categories of the "Rock Era". Since there were a significant number of web pages produced each week for the Travel League, I was able to download MIDI songs from the web (which didn't take up a lot of disk space), store them in an online library, and then make a provision in my secretarial application to randomly drop a different MIDI onto each web page of the MMSTL website each week. Click on the link below to see a sample "old page", and at the bottom is where a person could click on the 'Play" button to enable music while viewing a web page. (Please note that it might take a few seconds for the Midi to start playing)
